Local First means the browser is the primary working environment. Cloud services may add convenience, but they must not become a requirement.
Privacy by design
Not uploading a file is safer than promising to delete it after processing. It also reduces exposure through logs, backups and third-party services.
Speed and autonomy
Once the app is loaded, common operations do not depend on network round trips. Losing connectivity should not lose an in-progress pipeline.
A coherent business model
Local tools and transformations can remain broadly available. Future Premium services can focus on convenience, history, sharing or teams — not on capturing user files.
