Bethemesh works in your browser first. This FAQ explains what stays local, what may be synchronized and when to choose a tool or a pipeline.
Do I need an account?
No. Every tool and the Workspace remain available without an account. An account is used to synchronize pipelines, templates and favourites across devices.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Files selected in tools, their previews and results are processed in your browser and are not automatically uploaded. A synchronized recipe can contain text entered in its settings, so do not save sensitive information there.
What is the difference between a tool, a module, the Workspace and a pipeline?
- A tool is a standalone page for one precise task.
- A module is the reusable technical building block used in the Workspace.
- The Workspace is the environment where steps are assembled.
- A pipeline is the saved recipe describing module order and settings.
When should I use a pipeline?
Use a tool for a one-off need. Create a pipeline when the same sequence returns regularly, such as importing a table, cleaning cells, removing duplicates and exporting the result.
Can I work offline?
Local processing and saved pipelines remain available while the application resources are accessible in the browser. Synchronization simply waits for the connection to return.
What happens if two devices edit the same pipeline?
The engine compares revisions. If versions diverge, you can keep the local version, the cloud version or both so no work is lost.
Can I back up my data without an account?
Yes. JSON export creates a portable backup of pipelines and templates that can be imported in another browser.
Is synchronization paid?
It is currently available at no extra cost. Tools and Local First processing are free.
