Is Bethemesh free?
Yes. The tools, the Workspace, the account and sync are free, with no subscription. The site may show advertising to help fund it.
Do I need an account?
No. Every tool and the Workspace work without an account. An account only lets you find your pipelines, templates and favourites on several devices.
Are my files sent to a server?
No: the tools process your files in your browser, and previews and results stay on your device. Only a few tools query an online service for public data, such as metal prices, without ever sending your files.
Note: if you sync a pipeline, the text typed in its settings is stored with it. Do not put sensitive information there.
Which files can I process?
Text, tables, images, PDFs, audio files and technical data, plus finance, construction, date and health calculators. Each tool lists the formats it accepts.
Is there a size limit?
The site sets no strict limit: since processing happens on your device, the possible size mainly depends on its memory. A very large PDF or a long audio track can slow down a phone; a computer copes better.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes, the site adapts to small screens. The PDF and image editors remain more comfortable on a computer.
Can I work offline?
Once a tool is loaded, local processing keeps working without a connection. Sync simply waits for the network to come back.
What is the difference between a tool, the Workspace and a pipeline?
- A tool is a page that does one precise task, right away.
- The Workspace is where you chain several tools.
- A pipeline is the saved recipe: the order of the steps and their settings, ready to run again.
When should I use a pipeline?
Use a tool for a one-off need. Create a pipeline when the same sequence of operations comes back often, for example importing a table, cleaning the cells, removing duplicates and exporting the result.
Can I back up my work without an account?
Yes. The JSON export creates a backup of your pipelines and templates, which you can import in another browser.
What happens if two devices edit the same pipeline?
The versions are compared. If they diverge, you choose to keep the device version, the account version or both: no work is lost.
Can I embed a tool on my site?
Yes, free of charge, with the widgets: copy the embed code from the widget page. The terms of service set the rules to follow.
Are the calculator results reliable?
The formulas are tested, but the calculators give estimates. Check every result before relying on it: they do not replace the advice of a professional.
How do I delete my data?
Data in your browser is cleared from the site or browser settings. To delete your account and synced data, write through the contact form.
How do I suggest a tool or report a problem?
Use the “Suggest a tool” and “Report a bug” forms, available from the footer. Every message is read.
Which languages is the site available in?
French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. The language selector in the footer keeps you on the same page.
