XML sitemap

Why use this tool?

An XML sitemap helps search engines discover canonical URLs you want to expose. This tool generates a standard urlset from absolute URLs without requesting the pages.

100% local and secure

Your data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.

Smart processing

Create and verify web content with settings designed for usable results.

Supported formats

Web formats, metadata, and structured content depending on the available features.

Save time

Get a clean, ready-to-use result in seconds without installing software or configuring a complex workflow.

Fonctionnement

How does this tool work?

The tool reads one absolute URL per line, checks that it uses HTTP or HTTPS, removes duplicates and escapes the required characters before building a basic XML urlset document. It never fetches the listed pages, so it cannot verify HTTP status, canonicalization or actual indexability. The generated result is a simple sitemap that can be copied, saved and integrated into a broader technical SEO workflow.

Use cases

Small website

Create a straightforward sitemap when the canonical URL inventory is still easy to manage manually.

SEO migration

Prepare a new URL set to submit after moving domains, folders or site architecture.

URL-list review

Spot duplicates and entries that are not valid absolute HTTP or HTTPS addresses before publishing.

Guide

How to use this tool

  1. 1

    Paste the URLs

Add one absolute HTTP or HTTPS URL per line in the input area.

  2. 2

    Clean the list

Fix or remove invalid entries while duplicate URLs are removed automatically.

  3. 3

    Use the XML

Copy the generated document and place it in the sitemap file used by your website.

Tips and best practices

  • Include only canonical URLs you genuinely want search engines to discover.
  • For very large sites, split URLs across multiple sitemaps and use a sitemap index.
  • Check HTTP status, robots rules and canonicals separately before deployment.

Frequently asked questions

Does a sitemap guarantee indexing?

No. A sitemap helps search engines discover URLs, but it does not guarantee crawling, indexing or rankings for any of the pages it contains.

How many URLs can a sitemap contain?

The standard protocol allows up to 50,000 URLs and 50 MB uncompressed per sitemap file. Larger inventories should be split and referenced from an index.

Does this check HTTP status codes?

No. The tool validates URL format locally and builds the XML, but it never requests remote pages and therefore cannot know their HTTP status.
