What does this template do?
Keep the useful rows, sort them, then export the result.
This template produces a focused view of a table: it keeps only the rows that meet a condition, then sorts them. It is the equivalent of a spreadsheet filter and sort, saved so you can replay it on every new export.

Why the steps come in this order
The filter runs before the sort: it reduces the number of rows, and the sort only handles those that remain. The result would be the same the other way round, but slower on a large file.
When should you use this template?
- Extract “Pending” orders from an export, oldest first.
- List the products whose stock is below a threshold.
- Isolate the rows of one region before sending them to the team in charge.
Local processing in your browser
When the selected modules support local processing, your files stay on your device while the Pipeline runs.
Settings to check
- Condition: a column, an operator (equals, not equals, contains, starts with, ends with, greater than, less than, empty, not empty) and a value; “equals” by default.
- Sort: one column and a direction, ascending by default.
- Export: XLSX by default.
Example
- Before
- 3,000 orders with a “Status” column and a “Date” column.
- After
- The 214 orders with the “Pending” status, sorted from oldest to newest.
Limits to know
- One condition per filter: to combine “Pending” and “France”, add a second filter step in the Workspace.
- The “greater than” and “less than” operators assume consistent numeric values in the column.
- Sorting uses one column only, with no secondary key.
