Publish in a CMS
Write in Markdown then paste the HTML into an editor that only accepts HTML code.
Transform Markdown headings, emphasis, links, lists, quotes and code blocks into HTML locally.
Convert Markdown text into clean HTML code, ready to paste into a CMS, newsletter, static page or email template. Headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes, tables, code blocks, links and images become the corresponding HTML tags. The conversion is carried out in your browser, without sending the content.
The converter handles common CommonMark syntax: # through ###### become <h1> through <h6>, consecutive lines form one <p>, bullet lists become <ul> and numbered lists become <ol>. A numbered list that starts above 1 keeps its start attribute. Blockquotes become <blockquote>, fenced code blocks delimited by ``` become <pre><code> with a language-… class, and GitHub-style tables become <table> with <thead> and <tbody>.
Inline syntax is converted too: **bold** and __bold__ become <strong>, *italic* and _italic_ become <em>, `code` becomes <code>, [text](address) becomes a link and becomes an image. Inline code is preserved: the asterisks in `a*b*c` are not treated as emphasis.
Special characters (<, >, &, quotation marks) are escaped. HTML written in the source is displayed as text rather than copied as markup. Addresses using javascript:, vbscript: or data: are not inserted into links or images; only their text remains.
Enter or import the text in the “Markdown Source” field.
Start the conversion: each block becomes an HTML tag on its own line.
Copy or export the code, then check how it renders on the destination page.
