How does this tool work?
Extracting pages creates a new PDF that contains only the pages you choose, without touching the original document. It is the way to send a single appendix from a report, isolate the signed page of a contract or share a few pages of a manual. Every page is shown as a thumbnail: you click the ones to keep and the rest of the file is simply left out, directly in your browser.
After import, each page is rendered as a thumbnail so you can recognise it at a glance. A click selects or deselects a page, and a counter shows how many pages will be kept. Select all and Clear selection speed up work on long documents, and the history lets you undo a wrong click.
On download, the selected pages are copied into a new file in the order of the original document, with their content intact: selectable text, images and links on the page are kept, with no conversion to images. To change the order of the extracted pages, run the result through Reorder PDF pages.
Extracting and removing are two sides of the same operation: extract when you keep a few pages, remove when you drop a few.

- Check the numbers printed at the bottom of the pages first: they sometimes differ from the page’s actual position in the file.
- To keep almost a whole document, Remove PDF pages is quicker.
- To produce several extracts at once, such as one file per chapter, use Split a PDF instead.
Frequently asked questions
Can I extract a single page?
Yes. Select just one thumbnail: the resulting PDF will contain only that page.
In what order are the extracted pages placed?
In the order of the original document, whatever order you clicked them in. Use Reorder PDF pages afterwards if you need a different sequence.
Is the text of extracted pages still selectable?
Yes. Pages are copied as they are, never via an image: text, fonts and image resolution stay the same.
Do bookmarks and form fields come along?
Bookmarks are not carried into the new file. Everything drawn on the page stays visible, but an interactive form may lose its fill-in behaviour, so check the result if you plan to fill it in.
What happens to the pages I do not select?
They are not copied into the downloaded file, but they remain in your original PDF, which is never modified.
Does my PDF leave my device?
No. Thumbnails and extraction are produced in the browser without uploading the document; only the final file is saved by your download.
