How does this tool work?
Rotating PDF pages turns the right way up a page scanned upside down, a landscape table lying on its side or a document photo taken at an angle. Each page turns on its own in quarter turns, with the result shown straight away in the preview. The document is changed in your browser and downloaded as a new copy, with no loss of quality.
The PDF opens in the editor with the list of pages at the side. Select a page, then click Rotate left (90° anticlockwise) or Rotate right (90° clockwise). Two clicks give a half turn of 180°, and three clicks to the right equal one click to the left.
The rotation is stored as a display property of the page, as defined by the PDF standard: the content is neither redrawn nor turned into an image. Text stays selectable, resolution does not change and the file size stays practically the same.
If a page already had a rotation in the original file, your quarter turn is added to it: a page shown at 90° that you turn right again is saved at 180°. Changes are made page by page; Undo and Redo fix a mistake.
How to use this tool
Import the PDF
The document appears in the editor, with page thumbnails to move from one page to another.
Turn the pages concerned
On each page to fix, click Rotate left or Rotate right until it reads correctly.
Download the corrected PDF
Click Download PDF: only the rotated pages change orientation; the others stay as they are.

The quarter turn adds to the existing rotation (90° + 90° = 180°). The page content is not re-encoded: only its display orientation changes.

- Check the orientation in the thumbnails before downloading: a page turned twice too often is easy to spot.
- For a document lying on its side throughout, rotate each page; there is no all-pages button yet.
- If the page order also needs fixing, continue with Reorder PDF pages.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. The rotation only applies to the page shown; the others keep their orientation.
Does page quality drop?
No. Only the display orientation changes; text, images and drawings are not recalculated.
Can I rotate by any angle, such as 15°?
No, PDF only supports rotations in multiples of 90° for a whole page. A slightly tilted scan has to be straightened when scanning.
Why does my page turn more than expected?
It probably already had a rotation in the original file, and your click adds to that angle. Click the other way to get back to the right position.
Is the original file replaced?
No. A new copy is downloaded; your original PDF stays as it is on your device.
Does the document go through a server?
No. The preview and saving the rotation are done by your browser.
