How does this tool work?

Split an image into regular tiles using a chosen number of rows and columns, then download the pieces without sending the source image to a remote service.

The image dimensions are divided proportionally across the requested rows and columns. Each region is then extracted through the shared image engine, including cases where the width or height does not divide evenly. The final row and column absorb any remaining pixels so the complete source is covered without overlaps or missing strips.

How to use this tool

  1. Add your images

Choose the PNG, JPEG, or WebP files to process from your device.

  2. Define the grid

Choose the row and column count, output format, and optional export quality.

  3. Download the result

Check the output, then download the generated file or images directly to your device.

Use cases

Social grid

Prepare tiles from a large image for a mosaic post or carousel workflow.

Sprite slicing

Split a regular sprite sheet into separate graphic assets.

Batch processing

Turn one image into a collection that can continue through a Pipeline or be downloaded as separate files.

Tips and best practices

  • All processing runs in your browser, so the images are not uploaded to Bethemesh.
  • Keep the source file if you may want to repeat the process with different settings.
  • Choose a grid that does not cut through important subjects.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Decoding, processing, and export run locally in your browser. The files remain on your device during the operation.

Which formats are supported?

These tools accept PNG, JPEG, and WebP images up to the limit shown in the interface and export to the formats offered by each tool.

Are pixels lost when the dimensions do not divide evenly?

No. Tile boundaries are calculated from the exact source dimensions and rounded consistently so the final row and column receive any remaining pixels.
