How does this tool work?

The PDF editor brings the most common edits together in one workspace: add text, highlight, draw shapes, insert an image or stamp, redact, rotate, reorder or delete pages, add a watermark, a header or a footer. Instead of chaining several tools and downloads, you make every correction on the same file and save a single copy, without leaving your browser.

The toolbar groups functions into tabs: Select to browse and move elements, Text, Draw, Shapes (rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow), Highlight, Redact, Insert (image, stamp, watermark) and Pages (rotation, blank page, deletion, moving). Thumbnails let you move between pages, with zoom and full screen.

Every element you add stays editable until download: move, resize, change colour, delete. Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y undo or redo, Delete removes the selected element and the arrow keys nudge it. Work in progress is also saved in this browser: if the page reloads, the editor offers to resume it.

The editor adds content on top of the pages; it does not rewrite the text already in the PDF the way a word processor would. Added text, shapes and images are burned into the pages of the downloaded file.

How to use this tool

  1. Import the PDF

    Drop the document; the first page appears with thumbnails of the others.

  2. Make your corrections

    Pick a tab, add text, shapes, images or stamps, then adjust them; switch pages with the thumbnails.

  3. Download the edited PDF

    The Download PDF button applies every change in a new copy.

Tips and best practices

  • On mobile, stay on the Select tab to scroll without creating an element by accident.
  • To really remove sensitive information, use the Redact tab rather than a black shape, which leaves the text underneath.
  • If you only need one operation, the dedicated tool (watermark, page numbers, signature…) is often more direct.
  • Work in progress is only saved in this browser: download the PDF before switching devices.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the text already in the PDF?

No. The editor adds text and elements on top of the pages; to change an existing sentence, cover it and write the new version in its place.

Are my changes lost if I reload the page?

Usually not. The document and added elements are saved in this browser, and the editor offers to resume when you come back. Cropping and some page settings are not kept.

Do added elements stay editable after download?

No. They are burned into the pages of the new file. Keep the editor open as long as you want to adjust them.

Which keyboard shortcuts are available?

Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z) to undo, Ctrl+Y or Shift+Ctrl+Z to redo, Delete to remove the selected element, and the arrow keys to move it, with Shift for a bigger step.

Is the original file modified?

No. Downloading produces a new copy; your original PDF stays intact.

Is the document sent to a server?

No. Display, edits and the final file are all handled in your browser; the draft is stored locally.
