Removing blank pages from a PDF automatically drops the empty sheets that creep into a document: blank backs of a double-sided scan, separator pages, a page left empty at the end of an export. The tool finds these pages for you, flags them in the thumbnail grid and leaves you the final say before you download the cleaned document. The whole analysis takes place in your browser.
Each page is rendered as a small thumbnail and examined pixel by pixel. A pixel counts as ink as soon as one of its red, green or blue components drops below 245 out of 255. A page with less than 0.15% inked pixels is treated as blank: it gets the Blank page detected badge and appears greyed out.
Detection is deliberately cautious: a page number, a header or one line of text is enough to keep a page. Conversely, a slightly grey background or scan marks can stop an otherwise empty page from being detected. Click any thumbnail to switch its state: keep a detected page, or remove one that was missed.
The pages you keep are copied into a new PDF without any change to their content. The counter shows how many pages will be removed before you download.
Thumbnails are generated and analysed; detected blank pages are greyed out and badged.
Click a greyed-out page to keep it, or a normal page to remove it as well.
The resulting PDF contains only the pages you kept.

Lighten a scan before running OCR, which then has fewer pages to process.
Backs with no marks at all fall below the 0.15% inked-pixel threshold. A back carrying only a “this page intentionally left blank” stamp would be kept: click it to remove it.

5 pages marked Blank page detected; final PDF of 19 pagesOn a thumbnail of the page, it counts the pixels darker than near-pure white (a component below 245). Below 0.15% inked pixels, the page is flagged as blank.
Usually not: a few characters are enough to exceed the threshold. If you want to remove it anyway, click its thumbnail.
Not on this page: the threshold is fixed. You still control every page, since one click reverses the tool’s decision.
A PDF must keep at least one page; the download stays disabled until at least one page is kept. Click a thumbnail to keep it.

No. Rendering the thumbnails and counting pixels happen in the browser; the document does not leave your device.
