A wall estimate depends on net wall area, block format, joints, breakage and packaging. The Concrete block calculator keeps those assumptions explicit.

An 8 × 2.5 m wall has 20 m² gross area. A 0.90 × 2.04 m door removes about 1.84 m², leaving 18.16 m². The block module should include the joint, not just the bare block dimensions, because a few millimetres repeated over many courses change the total count.

Allowance and pallets

Add a small allowance for cuts and damaged blocks, then round to whole blocks. If the supplier sells pallets of 60, a requirement of 181 blocks would mathematically require four full pallets. Many merchants also sell individual blocks, so check purchasing rules before accepting a large pallet surplus.

Mortar

Mortar can be estimated from net wall area and a kg/m² consumption, then converted into whole bags. Replace generic consumption with the value appropriate to the selected block and mortar system.

For complex walls with returns, gables or many openings, split the project into simple zones and add the results. This is more reliable than forcing the whole wall into one rectangle.
