C = end date − start date + 1

Check dates and exclusions (YYYY-MM-DD). French calendar: 2000–2099; maximum shift: 36,600 working days.

Both dates are included. The French calendar excludes 11 national holidays; add regional holidays and applicable closures. A weekly rest day is never subtracted twice.
This calculator counts the working days between two dates, both ends included. Choose the working week: Monday to Friday for standard business days, Monday to Saturday for a six-day week (shops, some legal deadlines), or Sunday to Thursday for countries where the weekend falls on Friday and Saturday. It can also shift a date by a number of working days, to find a deadline “within 10 business days”.
Calendar days are every day of the year; business days are the days on which work normally takes place, usually Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. The tool applies the working week you choose and checks every date in the period, start and end dates included.
The shift moves forward (or back, with a negative number) by a number of working days from the start date, without counting that date itself: Friday + 1 business day gives the following Monday. This is how the WORKDAY spreadsheet function behaves, while the count between two dates matches NETWORKDAYS.
The French calendar covers 2000–2099. It does not decide whether a public holiday is a day off at your workplace: select no calendar and enter your exact list if needed, including for Whit Monday. Use custom dates for other countries. Exclusions apply to both counting and shifting, including across New Year.
Set the start and end dates; both are counted.
Monday–Friday for business days, Monday–Saturday for a six-day week, Sunday–Thursday for a Friday–Saturday weekend.
Turn on the French calendar (2000–2099) or enter your own dates as YYYY-MM-DD, separated by commas or spaces; they are removed from working days.
Enter a positive or negative number of working days to get the deadline from the start date; excluded holidays are skipped.
Both dates are included. The French calendar excludes 11 national holidays; add regional holidays and applicable closures. A weekly rest day is never subtracted twice.
C = end date − start date + 1
W = C − weekly rest days in the period − public holidays falling on a working day
W ≈ C × 5 ÷ 7 (Monday–Friday) or C × 6 ÷ 7 (Monday–Saturday)
The rule of thumb is exact only for whole weeks; the tool counts each day according to its day of the week.
Find the date of a delivery promised “within 10 business days” or a reply due in 5 working days.

Yes, both are counted if they are working days: Monday to Friday of the same week is 5 business days. For the shift, however, the start date itself is not counted.
Enter the starting date as the start date, then the number of days in the shift field. If the starting date is a Saturday, + 1 business day gives the Monday.
Between 260 and 262 Monday-to-Friday days depending on the year, before public holidays. 2026 has 261, because it starts on a Thursday and has 52 weeks plus one extra Thursday.
Choose Monday–Saturday for a six-day week or Sunday–Thursday for a Friday–Saturday weekend, as in several Gulf countries. For other patterns, count the calendar days and subtract your own rest days.
No. The French calendar only includes the 11 national holidays. In Alsace-Moselle, add Good Friday and 26 December as custom dates, for example 2026-04-03, 2026-12-26.
