How does this tool work?
Adding an image to a PDF lets you insert a logo, a photo, a plan, a QR code or a scanned seal at the exact spot you want on a page. You place the image with the mouse or your finger on the preview, adjust it with handles, then download a new copy of the document. The PDF and the image stay in your browser, which also suits personal documents.
The Add image button accepts PNG and JPEG files. The image appears on the page shown: drag it, resize it with the corner handles and rotate it freely with the rotation handle. You can place several, on one or more pages.
On download, each image is built into its page at the chosen position, size and angle. A PNG keeps its transparency, so a cut-out logo sits on the page without a white frame; a JPEG stays rectangular and opaque.
The image is embedded at its original resolution: a 4,000-pixel photo shrunk to stamp size makes the PDF needlessly heavy. Resize large images before inserting them if file size matters.

Frequently asked questions
Which image formats are accepted?
PNG and JPEG. Convert a WebP, HEIC or other image to PNG or JPEG first with a tool from the Images category.
Is transparency kept?
Yes for a transparent PNG: only the visible parts of the image cover the page.
Can I rotate the image?
Yes. The rotation handle allows any angle, on top of moving and resizing.
Can I add the same image to several pages?
Yes, by inserting it on each page you want. For the same visual on every page, Overlay two PDFs may be quicker.
Why did my PDF get much heavier?
The image is embedded at its original resolution, even when shown small. Shrink it before inserting.
Are my files sent to a server?
No. The PDF and the image are read and combined in your browser.
