How does this tool work?

The engine reads each page size and applies a new crop area from the margins entered in millimetres. Content outside that area is no longer displayed by compatible PDF viewers. The document is never uploaded to a remote server. This PDF-to-PDF transformation can also run in Workspace before resizing, compression or another compatible processing step.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping permanently delete content outside the area?

The tool defines the visible crop area of each PDF page. Compatible viewers no longer display content outside that area.

Can each side use a different margin?

Yes. Top, right, bottom and left margins are configured independently in millimetres.

Can cropping be used in pipelines?

Yes. Cropping is exposed as a PDF-to-PDF transformation in Workspace.
