How does this tool work?
Cropping a PDF shrinks the visible area of its pages so only what matters remains: remove the wide white margins of an export, isolate a table or diagram, cut the black edges off a scan, or make a document easier to read on a small screen. You draw the frame to keep directly on the page, adjust it with handles, then download the result, without leaving your browser.
Click Crop, then draw the rectangle to keep on the page; the handles let you adjust each edge. The frame applies to the page shown, and Apply selection to all pages reuses the same proportions across the document. Reset crop starts again from the whole page.
Cropping changes each page’s display area (the PDF format’s “CropBox”). Content outside the frame is not erased from the file: readers simply hide it. Text and images inside the frame are neither redrawn nor compressed.
So to make sensitive information near the edge of a page disappear, cropping is not enough: use Securely redact a PDF, which really removes it.

- Crop before resizing: the useful area can then fill the whole new page size.
- Check several pages after Apply selection to all pages: a scan can shift from one page to the next.
- If you want a smaller file, note that cropping does not reduce it, since the hidden content is still there.
Frequently asked questions
Is the content outside the frame deleted?
No. It is hidden on display but remains in the file; some software can make it reappear. To remove information, use redaction.
Can I crop every page at once?
Yes. Draw the frame on one page, then choose Apply selection to all pages.
Does text quality change?
No. Content is not turned into an image: it stays sharp and selectable.
Does cropping reduce file size?
No, since nothing is deleted. To make the PDF lighter, use Compress PDF.
Can I undo a crop?
Before downloading, Reset crop goes back to the whole page. The original file is never modified.
Is the document sent online?
No. The frame is applied to the pages in your browser.
