How does this tool work?
Resizing PDF pages changes their paper size: turn a US Letter document into European A4, shrink an A3 poster to A4 for office printing, even out a file that mixes pages of different sizes, or prepare an A5 booklet. Each page’s content is scaled and centred on the new size, directly in your browser.
The Resize pages button offers A4, A3, A5, Letter and Legal, portrait or landscape, plus a custom size in millimetres (10 mm minimum). Every page in the document gets the chosen size.
In Preserve proportions mode, the content is enlarged or reduced by the same horizontal and vertical factor, as large as possible without overflowing, then centred: white bands appear on two sides if the proportions differ. In Stretch mode, width and height are adjusted separately to fill the whole page, at the risk of distorting text and images.
Content stays vector-based: text and paths are scaled with no loss of sharpness, and annotations follow the same transformation.
How to use this tool

Select A4, A3, A5, Letter, Legal or a custom size, the orientation, then Preserve proportions or Stretch.
Apply and download

How the scaling is calculated
In Preserve proportions mode, each page is multiplied by a single factor s, chosen so the content fits entirely within the new size.
Margin added on each side
mx = (W − s × w) ÷ 2; my = (H − s × h) ÷ 2
One of the two margins is zero; the other gives the width of the white bands.

s = min(215.9 ÷ 210; 279.4 ÷ 297) = min(1.0281; 0.9407) = 0.9407. Height limits the scaling: the content fills the full height and (215.9 − 197.6) ÷ 2 ≈ 9.2 mm remain on each side.

- Keep Preserve proportions for any document with text or photos; save Stretch for tiny differences.
- Crop unnecessary margins first: the useful area will then make better use of the new size.

Frequently asked questions
Which sizes are offered?
A4, A3, A5, Letter and Legal, portrait or landscape, plus a custom width and height in millimetres.
Can content be distorted?
Not in Preserve proportions mode, which applies the same factor both ways. Stretch mode adjusts width and height separately and can distort.
Why do white bands appear?
Because the target size does not have the same proportions as the original page: the centred content only fills the limiting dimension.
Does quality drop when enlarging?
Not for text and vector drawings. An enlarged bitmap image may look less sharp, though.
Can I resize a single page?
No, the size applies to every page. Extract the page, resize it, then merge again.
Is the file sent online?
No. Calculating and scaling the pages happen in your browser.
