Fonctionnement

How does this tool work?

The PDF engine opens the document locally, updates the standard metadata fields and then creates a new file. In clear mode, the common descriptive fields are emptied to reduce the information retained in the document. The transformation can run on its own or inside a Workspace pipeline before compression, watermarking or another compatible PDF operation.

Use cases

Clean a document before sharing

Remove common metadata before sending a PDF to a client, partner or external service.

Standardize an archive

Apply consistent titles, authors and keywords before storing or classifying a set of documents.

Automate PDF preparation

Use the transformation in a pipeline to clean or normalize metadata for every processed document.
