Open the full editorFilling in a PDF form lets you complete on screen a document that contains real fields: an official application, a registration file, a declaration, an order form. The areas to fill are detected automatically and turned into input boxes on the preview. You type your answers, tick the boxes, choose from the lists, then download the completed form, without printing and without leaving your browser.
On import, the tool reads the form fields in AcroForm format, the PDF’s standard interactive format, with their exact position on each page. It shows on top a text box for text fields, a checkbox for checkboxes, buttons for exclusive choices and a drop-down list for menus.
The values you enter are written into the PDF’s fields at download. By default, the form stays editable, so the recipient can still correct an answer. Check Make fields non-editable in the downloaded PDF to freeze the values as permanent text.
If the PDF contains no fields, a message says so: it is a flat form, better completed with Add text to a PDF. XFA forms, specific to some Adobe software, are not supported.
The detected fields appear on the preview, page by page.
Type text, tick boxes and pick from lists; move between pages with the thumbnails.
Check the box to make fields non-editable if needed, then download the completed copy.
